When I was 12 years old, I had an experience in the St. Peregrine room of the old Serra Chapel that totally changed my life. My beloved grandmother was with me and witnessed it, and watched me change before her eyes. When I left that chapel and walked out and into the former gift shop across the way, I was no longer the same kid. My relationship with Spirit became primary and totally personal.

While raised Catholic my whole life, at that moment the connection became something just for me, in my own way, based on my own experience. I was devoutly religious for the next 16 years, and then another shift came, and I uneventfully left the Church. And another shift, and then another, but the sense of relationship and connection never left.

Now, as an adult in my 40s who has finally embraced my intuitive abilities and what they are here to serve, I am humbled by the path I was put on so many years ago in that hot little room. I've lost a lot this year, and made peace with even more. I've fully accepted the legacy of the psychic women in my line, and choose to be the first one to step out fully into the world and show it without fear or shame. I choose to express it to help others empower and awaken their own sovereignty. I choose to be the messenger of intuitive information that can liberate them from perceived limitations. I choose to serve love.

I tend to get the same feeling about Cancer season

I tend to get the same feeling about Cancer season - it's heavy water. I'm pooled, embedded, and I have to deal with my surroundings. My surroundings are my feelings, my dreams, and my desire to sort of hide away from danger or the unknown. I don't think this is a bad thing. I'm okay with it here because I know what my work is - to address the subtle, and the emotional. I find that at this time I'm experiencing delays in what I'd like to be moving forward, I'm frustrated, tender, reactive, and needing deep rest.

After my recent health scare and two significant deaths in my life, this is what's on my plate to address and feel my way through. The hidden blessing of this time is that I am forcibly slowed down and must face how I feel, experience the loss, the confusion, and the ways it has changed me. I have less going on so my daily life is quieter, I hear more, and feel more intuitive. Dreams are stranger, more symbolic, and hold powerful messages.

If we lean into the tempo of this season, we can find what we need to move forward once the speed picks up. It's hard to feel so vulnerable, to not know the next step forward, and to wonder just what the hell is going on anyway?! That's natural. If you feel this way right now, you're in the right place. What are you learning about yourself as you hang upside down?
